Boat ride on the Chicago river.  Architectural tour. Very interesting. Second pic I’m waiting in the arena for the Queen show to begin. 

Just before the fireworks at the pier we stopped for a margarita and snack.  We tried to get a second drink to go because we saw a line of people at the carry out window near the bar where we were sitting;  however, they said they couldn’t serve us a to go drink inside – something about a different tab I think. They said we had to go outside to the bar window to order again. What? Stand in line when we just spent $40 in here?  Forget it. We walked along the pier a little and found a much better frozen and heavily spiked margarita!

John Hancock building.  $20 to go to the top. $25 if you want to go almost to the top and have a cocktail.  I did the former.  In hindsight, I should have had a cocktail!  I don’t want to do this again. 

After complaining that none of my Plumaria ever bloom, this one surprised me in the front garden.  

It is very tall.  So tall that I totally missed the buds. It looks like a pink yellow blend.
