This is beginning to be my Friday morning workout

Since Friday is yard waste recycle day, I've been putting piles out at the curb the last two weeks from front garden cuttings. Today I have the added bonus of cutting my finger pretty bad. I don't think I need stitches; however, it won't stop bleeding as of right now. I'm sure with a little more time it will stop.

So, these two bushes really attract butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. This time of year they grow quickly and before I know it, I can't see out the front windows.

The first picture is the four piles that I removed from one bush today. It doesn't look like much but that took about 30 minutes. That qualifies as a light workout I believe. I sure am a sweaty mess.

The second picture is the four feet of new growth that took only seven days to appear on the bush I trimmed back last week. It is kind of hard to see the new growth. Rest assured, it is already blocking my street view!
