Sinkhole update

The engineers and geological engineers have decided to fill the hole with expandable cement. That process will begin Tuesday morning at 9 AM. They estimate 650 yards at a minimum cost of $50,000. My insurance will pay that amount. For now, the house doesn’t have any visible damage.

It has been a very stressful three days and this next step will take at least three days. They have to slowly fill the hole and constantly check for activity.

We expect the drone will shoot overhead photos tomorrow while the hole is being filled. I will post pictures as I get them.

The news has been there all day and they were still there at 6:00 PM when I left.

Engineers at sinkhole

My insurance adjustor and engineer arrived.   Survey and ground testing equipment has been requested and so the process begins.   They need a few hours to get started so I’m headed home and will return later.  My duplex in the distance. Nighbor’s garage in foreground with tile roof.
