car salesman / salesmen pressure

spare me.  Sign here.  I felt so bad I almost cried and those weren’t tears of joy.  I want to keep my car but I’m afraid it has too many issues.  Is it ok for now, yes.  Do I have to have a new car today?  No.
Interesting how I just looked at that SUV Wednesday, it has been on the lot for a few weeks, and as soon as I show interest, they have another cash offer!!!  So, you have to make a decision right now.  I did.  It took me a couple of hours but I decided to walk away.  There will always be another car.  Volvo owners traditionally take care of their cars.  There might not be another exactly like this one but I bet there will be a BETTER ONE!
I felt so relieved when we left that place and went to dinner.  I was not excited at all about buying that car and one should be crying due to happiness and excitement for that type of purchase.   I’m happy I didn’t sign.  I DO love that car.  I think it is a great car for me.  I know that right then was not the time for me to make that decision.
I’m very grateful for Liz’s support in that horrid ordeal.

I couldn’t trade it in…. Yet

I took these pics before I drove to the dealer with the intention of driving home a used car. I just couldn’t do it. I actually almost cried in the dealership when I looked at my car. So silly. But my gut feeling just said don’t do it. Run. So I walked away. The pressure was just too much. There will always be another car. I’m just not ready to let this one go yet. special thanks to my special friend Liz for spending the time with me last night at the dealer. She drove the car I was intending to buy and assured me that it was similar enough to the wagon and would give me better visibility, safe ride, better at night, and that’s the one I should buy. But if I’m not ready to buy today then walk away. Now I know which one I want and I can just shop online until I find the one that fits my needs.

LOCAL in Ramsey, NJ

This was a fabulous dinner started with some appetizers and kale salad (no pics!). The slice of wood backing the entry is at least ten feet wide. No cheap but oh-so-worth every bite. Nice evening out with Jayme.

Parking rip-off in the city

But what can you do? This is why I usually take the train and subway. I found a coupon for $14 to park after 4pm. Of course the day I arrive at 401pm they are REPAVING the lot! So around the block I went here and there and parked for $35 instead. oh well. I had a great time in the city.
