Papertrey Ink Watercolor Challenge – Larger Than Life dies and spellbinders edging test
My final post, I promise. I think I’ve saved the best for last but will wait for your comments.
Below you will find more of the die cut, watercolored flowers from the Larger Than Life PTI set. I also experimented with my new spellbinders edgers. I like the look of this card and plan on making more for the give-away box. However, I will do it a little different next time. (of course!) Instead of painstakingly painting each dang flower after die cutting… I will paint sheets of paper and THEN die cut the flowers… same effect but I think more efficient in my semi-mass-producing process of card-making.
NOTE: In all my years of card-making, this is the first time I’ve entered anything in a challenge. I know, I know, I went a little overboard but this one called out to me!

Papertrey Ink Watercolor Submission – LIFE is better with you in it
Simple black stamping on watercolor painted background paper. I love painting and when PTI posted this challenge I had to play along. In all of my years of stamping, I’ve never sent a card to a challenge but this one called my name today. So, I got out my paints, brushes, and paper and went to town. I should have entered this in the Black Challenge a few weeks ago.

Papertrey Ink Watercolor Challenge – I Thank You
I die cut the flowers on white paper and then stamped with black ink.
Using the Koi paints, I created the background.
After I started arranging the flowers I didn’t like the white background of the flowers so I sponged ink to tone down the bright white.

Papertrey Watercolor Challenge – Happy Birthday
For this card I die cut the flowers and then painted them. In hindsight, I probably should have just painted a piece of paper and then die cut the images… 20/20 Vision

Papertrey Ink Watercolor Challenge Submission
Inspired by a card that I believe was made by someone at PTI when this set was released. I saw the card and immediately bought the set (Enjoy the Ride) and the coordinating car die.
I didn’t have the same background spellbinder dies and my painting technique isn’t as great but I still love this card and have sent it to many friends.
Thanks PTI.
